Is this accounting software?
No — and the difference matters more than it sounds. Accounting looks backwards and has to be exact, because someone else is checking: your CA, the tax department.
Finance looks forwards and only has to be honest, because you're the one deciding.
Hisaab is the second kind. It won't file your returns. It'll tell you whether you can afford the thing you're about to say yes to.
Is my data private?
It's your own Google Sheet, in your Drive. We never see it.
Couldn't I just build this myself?
Try it — we did, for years. Every version ended half-built, our time going into the sheet instead of the money.
We have simplified it without losing capability. It stayed a spreadsheet, not an app, on purpose — the one surface you and AI can both read and edit directly. And it bends to how you want to work: your own tables, your own reports, your own numbers, structure intact. An app can't flex like that.

Do I need to be good with spreadsheets?
